The cost of an Accu-Count system is determined by the number of monitoring points as well as the height and width of each counting point. These factors influence the number and type of sensors required.
To prepare a quote you need to consider these factors:
Field of view: Width vs Height
Accu-Count uses height perception technology to track people. This means that the field of view (FOV) needs to see the peaks of people walking under the sensor across the entire entrance, especially at the edges of the walkway. The FOV therefore needs to cover the entire walkway at a minimum height between 1.8-2m. When the FOV of a single sensor cannot cover the entire walkway you can either increase the mounting height or install multiple sensors to extent the coverage.
The examples below illustrate the FOV using a standard 90 degree lens:

In this example the FOV covers the entire walkway and can see the peaks of the people walking underneath across the entire width.

In this example the FOV covers the entire walkway but cannot see the peaks of the people on the sides. A single sensor will not count accurately in this scenario unless it can be mounted at a higher position to extend the FOV.

In this example multiple Accu-Count sensors are daisy chained together to extend the FOV and track people accurately across the entire walkway.
What we need
To prepare a quote we therefore need to know (1) the number of entrances, (2) the width of each entrance and (3) the mounting height at each counting point. If you’re unsure, send us a photo or the CAD drawing for each entrance and we will assist.
Photos: When taking a photo stand inside the entrance as close to the middle of the walkway as possible. Show the left and right wall, the floor and the ceiling (ie the whole entrance). eg:

CAD: When sending the CAD files, please convert them to PDF. Each file should show the entire entrance from both the side and overhead view, eg:
